Jiuquan Steel yields 2.53 million tonnes of crude steel in H1
It is reported that Jiuquan Iron & Steel Co Ltd achieved total industrial output value of CNY 13.8 billion in H1 of 2008 up by 45.25% YoY with crude steel output of 2.53 million tonnes up by 2.54% YoY.
Jiuquan Iron & Steel Co Ltd has spent CNY 140 million in its No 3 and No 4 dry coke quenching items in the same review period, which will be put into use in this September.
Jiuquan Iron & Steel Co Ltd churned out 6 million tonnes of pig iron, 6.63 million tonnes of liquid steel and 6.18 million tonnes of steel products in 2006. The mill also achieved sales revenue of CNY 20 billion in the period. Jiuquan Iron & Steel Co Ltd aims to produce 7.8 million tonnes of pig iron, 8.8 million tonnes of crude steel and 8.2 million tonnes of finished products by the end of the 11th five year period to achieve sales revenue of CNY 40 billion and vaults into China’s Top 100 industrial enterprises.
