Caledonia Mining Corporation announces that all resolutions proposed at the 2009 Annual and Special Meeting of Shareholders held on May 20, 2009 were passed. Copies of the presentation made to the meeting by the Chief Executive and the Chief Financial Officer have been posted on Caledonia’s website.

The key messages to shareholders as set out in the presentation and the subsequent discussions include the following:

- The ramp-up of production at Blanket Gold Mine in Zimbabwe to the 24,000 ounces per annum level continues but is dependant primarily on a continuous electricity supply. Read more

DJ Glencar Mining To Focus On Solona Exploration

Glencar Mining PLC, an AIM and IEX listed company with gold exploration interests in Africa, said Thursday the Solona concession in Mali will be the main focus of its exploration effort during the coming months.

Three Solona Licence targets have been drill-tested to date and each has returned ore grade mineralisation. Drilling restarted on May 15.

-At the Sankarani Joint Venture, drilling programmes completed at seven targets continue to return encouraging results with results from Bokoro and Sanioumaleand Fingouana in particular impressing. Read more

Centerra Gold Boroo Mine Work Stoppage

Centerra Gold Inc.announced that unionized employees of its Boroo Mine in Mongolia today initiated a work stoppage. This stoppage is the result of additional wage demands, which the Company considers unreasonable. As a result mining and milling at Boroo has been temporarily suspended. The Company believes this work stoppage is illegal, as there is a collective bargaining agreement in place. The Company is in discussions with the workforce to resolve the issues. Read more

AAPH To Commence Oil Production Mid-June

American Petro-Hunter, Inc. wishes to update the ongoing activities at the #1 Lutters Well oil well at the Poston Prospect located in Trego County Kansas.

American Petro-Hunter and the operator of the project, S & W Oil & Gas, LLC of Wichita, have determined that construction for the pad site and tank battery will begin on June 1st. The Operator has installed 5 1/2″ casing and cement in preparation for completing the well. Additionally, arrangements have been made for the imminent arrival of pumping equipment in readiness for the establishment of commercial oil production.

Delta Petroleum Announces Executive Leadership Changes

Delta Petroleum Corporation, an independent energy exploration and development company, today announced that Chairman and CEO Roger Parker has informed the Board of Directors that he is resigning from the Company.

“I am very proud of my 22 years at Delta,” said Roger Parker. “I believe Delta is well positioned for the future and that this is the appropriate time for me to pursue new business interests.
