Pele Mountain Hits High Grade with Visible Gold at A-Zone
Pele Mountain Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:GEM) (”Pele” or the “Company”) today announced assay results for the remaining 10 holes from its diamond drill program at the East Highland Gold project in Northern Ontario. The drill program included the ‘A’, Lone Ranger, Haystack, and Golden Eagle East zones and was aimed primarily at locating near surface, mineable, gold mineralization. East Highland is 100-percent owned by Pele Gold Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company.
The new assays, all from the A zone, continue to confirm high grade, near surface, gold mineralization located immediately below the small open pit from which a 3,800-tonne bulk sample averaging 5 grams per tonne (”g/t”) gold was mined in 1999. Previous drilling has established that the A zone has a strike length of a minimum of 65 metres and continues to a vertical depth of approximately 200 metres with the mineralized trend remaining open along strike to the east and at depth. Braemore, on the JSE nickel and platinum shareholders approve Jubilee deal
Shareholders of JSE-listed nickel and platinum producer Braemore Resources on Wednesday “unanimously” approved the all share offer by platinum company Jubilee.Braemore said that the cancellation of its shares trading on Aim would now take place one business day after the acquisition was completed, which was expected to be November 2. Braemore’s share trading on the JSE would also be suspended from November 9.Although shareholder approval has now been given for the deal between Braemore and Jubilee, it was still subject to certain conditions, including a court approval. At the Meeting, shareholders approved a consolidation of the Company’s common shares on the basis of one post-consolidated share for every four pre-consolidated shares. CUPE BC: Paramedics to Work ‘Only Their Regular Shifts’
RICHMOND, BRITISH COLUMBIA- BC ambulance paramedics will only work their regularly scheduled shifts at their assigned ambulance stations and their primary operators as of 6pm today. They say, “it’s time to take action to protect our health and safety.”
The move follows claims by the BC Ambulance Service that there are no staffing shortages. The paramedics point to hundreds of unfilled positions across the province that have paramedics overworked and the ambulance service critically understaffed. The paramedics have been calling on the government to fill those positions. Read more
